OCN Blizzard

The MJHL is in full swing this weekend. The OCN Blizzard are home to the Portage Terriers tomorrow night. Puck drops at 7 at the GLMC and you can get your tickets at the gate just prior to the game. After dropping 3 of 4 in exhibition play, the Blizzard are 2 and oh in the regular season. There are 4 games on the schedule for tonight.

 

OCN Storm

The OCN Storm play their first exhibition game of the 2016-17 season. The Storm play host to the Norway House North Stars. Puck drop at the GLMC is at 7:30. OCN kicks off the regular season October 7 against the Islanders in Cross Lake.

 

OCN Blizzard

The OCN blizzard rolled through the weekend with two bigs win to start the new season. Friday night OCN blanked the Dauphin Kings 3-0 in front of almost 600 fans at the GLMC. Emilien(E-Meal) Boily(Boil-E) led the way with a 26 save shutout. Yesterday OCN continued to stay hot outlasting the Waywayseecappo Wolverines 4-3. Brayden Dale, Rylan Bartley, Jeremy Dumont and Daylon Campbell had OCN goals. The blizzard sit with a record of 2-0 on the season and will next face the Portage Terriers at home on Saturday

 

OCN Blizzard Home Opener

Tomorrow night hockey is back as the OCN Blizzard begin the 2016-17 season at home. The Dauphin Kings are in town to face the rival Blizzard at 7pm. Festivities begin at 5:30pm with tailgate party and free hot dogs. The Kinsmen Club is helping out by cooking the hot dogs and new OCN Chief Christian Sinclair will drop the ceremonial faceoff. Tickets can be bought at the door and you can catch the broadcast on 102.9 CJAR starting at 6:45pm  

 

OCN Blizzard

The OCN Blizzard went 50-50 at their final two games of the pre-season. The Swan Valley Stampeders took a 4-3 win over OCN on Friday. Tavis Rock, Daylin Campbell and Lance Hiebert were Blizzard scorers in the loss. Last night goaltenders Steven Taylor and Brett Epp combined for 28 saves in a 3-0 win. The Blizzard went 1 for 3 in the pre-season. The regular season for OCN starts Saturday at the GLMC against Dauphin.

 

OCN Blizzard Pre Season Continues

The OCN Blizzard continue preseason action this weekend with 2 games against the Swan Valley Stampeders. Tomorrow night the stamps are in town to meet the Blizzard at 7pm. The rematch will be Sunday evening in Swan Valley. It will be the final two pre season games for each team as they gear up for the regular season. OCN opens the season Sat Sept 24th vs the Dauphin Kings at home. 

 

OCN Blizzard

The OCN Blizzard will look for revenge tonight against the Flin Flon Bombers. After dropping their exhibition opener to the Bomberson Tuesday 6-1 the Blizzard will make the trip north to Flin Flon. OCN is expected to dress more returning players then Tuesdaynight and tonight’s game can be heard on 102.9 CJAR. Puck drops at 7:30 with Jaret Schneider.

OCN Blizzard Open Preseason Hosting Flin Flon

The OCN Blizzard open the 2016-17 Preseason tonight as the Flin Flon Bombers are in town. The Blizzard are expected to skate a young team tonight for the first game and will face off against a young Bomber team as well. Puck drops at 7pm at the GLMC and tickets at the door are just 5 dollars.

 

OCN Blizzard Main Camp Opened Today

OCN Blizzard rookie camp came to an end yesterday and with it brings the beginning of main camp. The two days rookie camp saw young talented hockey players from across the province try to impress OCN coaching staff and earn their shot at a chance to make this year’s team. The top players from rookie camp will move on to main camp that begins today along with returning OCN Blizzard players from last season. Main camp gets underway with skates and mini games today and concludes with the annual intersquad gameSunday afternoon.
