The SJHL Flin Flon Bombers play their first game back on the ice after the Christmas break. The Bombers travel to LaRonge to face the Ice Wolves. Flin Flon heads toward the new year in 3rd spot in the Sherwood division with a 19 and 11 record. The OCN Blizzard play their first game after the break on Friday. OCN will host Selkirk at the GLMC. The Blizzard are second last in theMJHL with a record of 13-23.

The OCN Blizzard have sometime off after their games last weekend. The Blizzard went 0-2-1 on their weekend against Selkirk and Winkler. Thursday night OCN lost an 8-2 decision in Selkirk over the Steelers, fell short of a comeback against Winkler on Friday in overtime 6-5 and ended the trip with a 7-2 loss agaist the Flyers.

The Blizzard continue to sit 2nd last in the standings with 28 points, 5 points behind the 9th place Flyers.

The Blizzard will be back in action in the new year on January 4th hosting the Selkirk Steelers at 7pm.

MBCI played host this past weekend for the Bill Mcdonald Memorial Basketball tournament. The Spartans dominated the tournament with 3 huge wins and placing first in the tournament.

MBCI Sports will be back in action in the New Year with the Junior Varstiy Basketball team heading to Cross Lake on January 11th

After dropping 3 games last weekend during the MJHL showcase, the OCN Blizzard are back in action this weekend at the GLMC with the Waywayseecappo Wolverines in town.

The Blizzard are 1-0 against the Wolverines. They met on October 31st in Waywayseecappo with Seqouia Swan scoring in the 6th round of the shootout.

Saturday night's game will be annual Teddy Bear toss. The first goal scored by the Blizzard will include the rain of teddy bears to support a child in need this holiday season.

The Pas Minor Hockey Association will be having pee wee house league game tonight beginning at 7:45, at the Roy H Johnston Arena.

It was a good weekend for Margret Barbour Colligates Junior and Senior Boys basketball teams. The junior team won a tournament that took place at Ste. Anne's, and the senior boy’s team went to Creighton and emerged victorious.

Meanwhile Students Dylan Stark and Lucas Mack were also honoured at the grad all star volleyball game in Winnipeg.

This weekend is the Bill McDonald Basketball Tournament here in The Pas and both MBCI senior boys and girls will be participating. The tournament will be held at Scott Bateman Middle School, The Wellness Centre, UCN, and MBCI, The Junior Girls basketball team will also play in Swan River this weekend.

Your OCN Blizzard will hit the road this weekend for the MJHL Showcase. With all 11 teams in action at the Seven Oaks Rec Centre. The Blizzard will be taking on Winkler Sunday night  and wrap it up on Monday against the Winnipeg Blues

The Blizzard will leave for Portage Saturday morning to take on the Terriers before the showcase kicks off. All 3 games will be broadcasted on 102.9 CJAR
