The Pas RCMP are reminding residents and visitors to take precautions before heading outdoors this fall.

Those planning activities like hunting, boating, or riding an ATV should check the weather, dress appropriately, and let friends or family know where they’re going and when they expect to return.

Police also recommend bringing a fully charged cellphone, checking that vehicles and equipment are in good working condition, and packing essentials like food, water, and a first aid kit.

Residents are also reminded to wear proper safety equipment, including helmets and life jackets when required.

The RCMP say being prepared can help everyone enjoy Manitoba’s fall season safely.
