Manitoba Eco-Network will be making stops in Thompson, Flin Flon, and The Pas next week to hold Critical Reforms: Mining In Manitoba workshops.
The workshops give participants a chance to share their views on the law, critical minerals, environmental protection, and public health as they relate to the mining industry. Workshops are being held across Manitoba to hear from communities about their experiences and their ideas for law and policy reform.
Heather Fast is the Policy Advocacy Director for Manitoba Eco-Network; she shares about the purpose of these workshops.
Workshops will be held in Thompson at the Thompson Public Library on Tuesday, October 20th; in Flin Flon at the Flin Flon Community Hall on Wednesday, October 21st; and in The Pas, at The Pas Regional Library on Thursday, October 22nd.
It's free to register in advance, online, though spaces in the workshop will be kept open for unregistered participants.
