Blizzard Lead Series 3-2

The Blizzard continued their push against the Steinbach Pistons on Saturday. A much slower game than previous ones as only three goals were scored, one during each period.

 

Pistons Trey Sauder opened up scoring in the first period for the Pistons, a goal that went unanswered until Marlen Edwards scored in the final minutes of the second period. The game was set to go into overtime for both teams until Sam Zagari scored with only 39 seconds left on the clock.

 

Despite pulling their goalie the Steinbach Pistons couldn't even the score, as the buzzer went off, resulting in a 2-1 victory for the Blizzard.

 

The Series is now at 3-2 for the Blizzard, who host the Steinbach Pistons tonight at the Roy H Johnston Arena in game 6. Puck Drops at 7 PM, with your pre-game show starting at 6:45 on CJAR.

 

The Winkler Flyers are in Virden tonight starting at 7:30 in game 6 of their series sitting at 3-2 for Winkler
